Reinventing Private Jet Companies

The travel industry is rife with innovation and new businesses that are aimed at making the searching and booking process simpler and more efficient. Unfortunately, many private jet companies have not seen as much modernization, and few suffer more than the travelers hoping to easily arrange a chartered flight. A unique new web service is hoping to bring charter booking into the 21st century.

Charter Hound is essentially a search engine that allows would-be travelers to find flights based on their needs. Much like other services have done for the commercial airline industry, this model only requires departure and arrival locations, dates and the number of passengers in order to find users jets anywhere in the world that can handle their journey within the specified budget.

A particularly helpful feature is the site’s Deals Alert box, which lets curious visitors enter how much they would prefer to spend on air rates as well as their flying destination. Once the user’s criteria has been met, Charter Hound immediately sends an automated email with a flight that is able to be booked instantly. No such other feature exists in online charter resources.

Another unique component to the company’s business model is its ability to index hundreds of flight databases and fleet manifests instead of only relying on a handful as most charter traveling agencies do. This gives customers exponentially more options in terms of providers and the types of planes desired for a trip. Having more options, Charter Hound contends, means a higher level of customer satisfaction.
